I started putting my signs out and about around this huge district, and I have many more to do. I’m a bit scratched up and bruised, and I think my right arm is getting a big muscle from pounding signs into the hard dry ground. Funny, but I do get strange looks as I walk back to my car with the big rubber mallet. Although it is difficult to climb through bushes in a median and find a good place for a sign while cars speed by me, I remind myself that I really want the job. I want to serve on the school board and help lead our students to a bright future. That’s what gets me through.
